Honoring Charles J. Gilland

Charles J. Gilland of Fairfield, PA, served in the 317th Infantry Regiment of the 80th Infantry Division during WWII.

He trained in the U.S. before being deployed to Europe, where he fought bravely in several key battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. Tragically, he was killed in action on September 17, 1944, at just 23 years old.

His legacy is honored by the Charles J. Gilland AmVets Post 172.
